Canopus Ruins, once known as Canopus Keep, is a ruins introduced in Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.
Description[]
The ruins was said to possess a stand that held Sword of Canopus, legendary sword capable to slay even dragons[1]. Apparently, to protect the sword along with other treasures within, traps have been installed to deter intruders. Said traps were rolling boulders, spikes on some parts of the ceiling, and spiked slab trap (a slab of rock with spikes periodically falls from the ceiling before being pulled back up by a massive chain, dealing massive damages on those crushed by it). The whole place also illuminated by torches with blue flames.
If the in-game map of the main area which Akko and co. explored after Diana restored the magic sigil in front of Sealed Door of Horologium Chamber to be believed, Canopus Ruins was maze-like yet not difficult to navigate through without getting lost. But the real challenge beside monsters inhabiting it was aforementioned traps. There were also hidden treasure chests which Lotte can pinpoint with aid of Will-o'-chan.
As of Golden Magic Age, Canopus Ruins had been abandoned save for monsters infesting the area. The traps were still active during Akko and co.' exploration there. Diana noted how contrasted the Ruins' condition to when she visited it prior to her enrollment at Luna Nova, indicated its condition in present day is much more deplorable.[2][3]
