Chapter 3 is the third chapter of the Little Witch Academia manga series adaptation illustrated by Keisuke Satō.
Overview
Finding boring classes in Luna Nova, Akko ends up in a discussion with Diana Cavendish because of her opposing positions about Shiny Chariot. To calm things down, Ursula decides to organize a volleyball match between teams formed by Akko, Lotte, Sucy, Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka against Diana and other students. While both teams cheat using magic, Akko's determination to win impresses Amanda and Diana despite her team losing the game.
Summary
The chapter begins with Akko complaining over Luna Nova's seemingly dull classes at the cafeteria while having some lunch with her roommates, Lotte and Sucy, unable to believe that Shiny Chariot took them during her time as a student there. Her dissatisfied rants attracted the attention of Luna Nova's top student, Diana Cavendish, who tells the Japanese that Chariot is not worth to look up to for being labelled as a heretic by her own community. Irritated, Akko argues that Shiny Chariot didn't do anything wrong with her magic, let alone as awful as she believed to be. As their argument escalates thanks to Hannah, Barbara, and even Sucy's snide remarks, Ursula, who overheard the whole thing, steps in and suggests that they should settle their dispute through volleyball instead.
Later at the courtyard, Akko, Lotte, and the reluctant Sucy gathered alongside Hannah, Barbara, and Diana. In addition of Sarah, Mary, and Elfriede, members of Green Team, Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka, showed up as well. Neither members of Amanda's team display enthusiasm about the game until Hannah and Barbara unwisely provoke their leader. Before they begin the match's first round, Akko tells Diana to take her negative opinions about Chariot back should her team loses, and the latter seemingly responded by acting indifferently.
As soon as the volleyball match begins, things spiral out of control with Amanda uses magic to turn the tide of their match and with the goblin laborer who supposedly in charge as the game's referee proved too incompetent for the job, Diana suggested that they resort to do the same, much to Ursula's dismay. Soon enough, Akko's team swiftly pushed to the brink of losing and Amanda ultimately decides to walk away, creating an opening for Hannah and Barbara to magically hurl the ball at her. To the Irish-American's shock, Akko dangerously deflects the magic-infused ball at the last moments and hurts her hand in the process before revealed how the whole volleyball match began. Undaunted, the two good-for-nothing bullies decides to all out and Akko's team responds in kind starting from Constanze who deflects another strike with her newly built first Stanbot. Even so, despite their best efforts, Akko's team wind up lost in the end, but Akko nevertheless won Green Team members' respect thanks to the match.
Meanwhile, victory seemed to be bittersweet for the Blue Team, or so Hannah and Barbara believed as they blamed Akko for the whole mess. Diana, however, thought otherwise as not only she found the Japanese's passion being genuine, but her silhouette as she attempted to score during the final match resembled that of Shiny Chariot. As they passed through Luna Nova's trophy case, Diana noticed the photo of Chariot back when she won Luna Nova Cup and nearly slipped her aforementioned realization to her roommates...

- Constanze completes her first fully-functional Stanbot during her first few days at Luna Nova as opposed of sometime between Orange Submariner and Samhain Magic (during the events of Chamber of Time game).
Trivia
- Putting aside the plot that surrounded titular creatures and Jennifer Memorial Tree being omitted, if not retold in future volumes which unfortunately cancelled this chapter serves as the remake of "Pappiliodya".
- Alongside "Flight Magic Lessons" (46th Sub Event in Chamber of Time), the chapter confirmed that Luna Nova's curriculum includes physical sports where in this case, volleyball.
