Movies

Background

Much of Constanze's background was not explored in short movies apart from being born in Germany, only that she became roommates with Amanda and Jasminka following her enrollment into Luna Nova. Like the latter two, Constanze has her share of reputation as a troublemaker where in this case, smuggling in prohibited hi-tech machines to be upgraded with magic and sell to other students.

The Enchanted Parade

After getting into a lot of trouble at Luna Nova, Constanze gets together with Amanda, Jasminka, Akko, Lotte, and Sucy, the task of preparing the parade for the city festival and not being expelled. When Akko proposes to make a fun show to show a good image of the witches, Constanze is the first to support her with her robot, but her plans do not work so well. When they all end up involved in a fight with some children in the city, Constanze uses her magic gun to attack them but she is in trouble when her magic energy is exhausted. While Akko decides to go ahead with the parade, Constanze and her companions finally decide to help. On the night of the parade, Constanze manages the large ship they built and then uses it to help Akko save Thomas and create the right environment to make a show. When Akko, Lotte and Sucy manage to defeat the Titan, Constanze saves Sucy from falling and then engages in another fight with the children.

Background

Judging from her family photo when she was a child, it can be assumed that she was either adopted or her mother had married a different person when Constanze was young. Whatever the case, her family are as affluential as the likes of Cavendish family, though Constanze decides to walk a different path hence her focus in combining magic and science.

A New Beginning

Constanze is shown sitting beside her roommates Amanda and Jasminka during the opening ceremony. Though not shown, it's safe to assume that she's among those who surprised by Akko, Lotte, and Sucy's unexpected entrance via. a Ley Line portal right at the center of auditorium.

Don't Stop Me Now

Constanze, Amanda and Jasminka participate in the Luna Nova Cup. On the day of the event, Sucy gives her team an early start by using concoctions so the brooms of the other contestants grow roots and become attached to the ground leaving them unable to fly. However since Constanze uses a mechanical broom, she's unaffected by Sucy's plan. Eventually she hands Jasminka the baton, but their team is later disqualified because Jasminka accidentally handed Amanda a donut instead of the baton.

Luna Nova and the White Dragon

After the Sorcerer's Stone is stolen by some dragons and Luna Nova is left without magic, Constanze is designated along with Akko, Loote, Sucy, Amanda and Jasminka to do the laundry. In that, the group decides to go to the Rastavan Ruins to recover the Sorcere's Stone. Constanze is in charge of manufacturing an automatic washing machine and a water pump to carry out the laundry in their absence.

Constanze uses her mechanized broom to drag the brooms of her friends who could not fly without the Sorcere's Stone. When they are attacked by the Robot Dragons, Constanze uses her magic pistol to attack them, managing to destroy one with the help of Jasminka and Amanda. After failing the shot of her bazooka, Constanze is captured by the dragons as well as all except Akko and Amanda. After being caged by Fafnir, all uncover the truth after the treatment of Fafnir with the teachers of Luna Nova as well as his deception that is revealed by Diana.

Orange Submariner

Constanze participates in the basic alchemy magic test. She is given a B+ due to how impressive her ability to transform a metal plate into a scaled robot is, even though it was not very useful.

What You Will

She and her roommates get chosen by a lottery fairy to clean up everything caused by the aftermath of the upcoming Samhain Festival. She later goes to Akko, Lotte and Sucy's dorm, along with Amanda and Jasminka.

Samhain Magic

At the Samhain Festival, Constanze carries out the cleaning work using a large robot vacuum cleaner to collect all the garbage. She then supports Akko, Lotte and Sucy during their event.

New Age Magic

Constanze works on what appears to be a heater as she joins her roommates and red team hanging out at the courtyard during which Akko recounts how she found Shiny Rod.

Sky War Stanship

After accidentally breaking Stanbot, Akko offers to help Constanze, who is participating in the Wild Hunt, an annual ghost hunting event. Constanze is initially reluctant to let Akko help her as she prefers to work alone and due to Akko's clumsiness, but finally she accepts Akko's help as she helps her gather the materials needed for her battleship, the Stanship. After seeing one of Akko's suggestions, Constanze immediately incorporates it into the Stanship much to Akko's surprise. On the day of the event, Croix uses her Pixels to materialize the ghosts into bird monsters creating a havoc. Constanze transforms her ship into the mecha Grand Charion, Akko's suggestion for the battleship, and with the magical support of the Hunters, manages to defeat the monsters.

The Road to Arcturus

While returning through the Ley Line, this one suddenly disappears, causing Constanze and the others to fall in the Arcturus Forest. The girls then goes where Chariot and Croix have been attacked by the Noir Rod in a giant dragon form, and sees how Akko manages to save them and unlock the last Word of Arcturus.

Tree of Leaves

As the Noir Rod possess a missile and launch itself to destroy the nearby county, Akko insist that they must stop it. After uniting all their brooms and receiving protective suits from Chariot and Croix, the seven young witches fly to the Noir Rod. Constanze is the second to leave, giving a strong boost to Akko and the others. She and her roommates lends Akko and Diana their fuel spirit so they can both restore Yggdrasil and destroying Noir Missile once and for all.

Little Witch Academia: Tsukiyo no Ōkan

Constanze, alongside Amanda and Jasminka, make a cameo appearance among the audience of Akko's street magic show in this manga series' final chapter.

Chapter 3

Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka are assigned into Akko, Lotte, and Sucy's team in a volleyball match against Diana's team. In addition of being there to tag along, Constanze participates so she can test her first fully-functional Stanbot prototype which helped her team greatly at the height of the match despite ended up losing in the end.

Chapter 5

Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka are discussing about a birthday present for Sucy with Akko. Unlike their Irish-American roommate, Constanze and Jasminka are willing to help. Their meeting concludes with Akko deciding that they're going for poisonous mushroom hunt.

Unfortunately, Akko's lack of knowledge pertaining mushrooms sees the group exposed to poisonous fume of a particular mushroom which induces the victim nightmares while thankfully not lethal as Sucy note when the Manbavaran and Lotte find them: Akko, Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka share a nightmare where they are chased by an angry mob of walking mushrooms. During the chase, Amanda realized that the mob chased them due to a mushroom that Akko took from their habitat. Akko felt reluctant to return the mushroom due to it meant to be a gift for her friend, but Amanda pointed out that she is too selfish to realize what's going on. The argument between both girls escalates when Constanze trips and is cornered by walking mushrooms, prompting Jasminka to break up the fight and beg Akko to return the mushroom. Realizing her errors, Akko finally tosses the mushroom away, saving Constanze from the walking mushroom's wrath in the process. The nightmare ends with Sucy's antidotes taking effect, saving their lives.

When the group awakes, Sucy wastes no time to berate them for their recklessness. Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka watch as Sucy appreciates the sentiment and effort behind the group's mushroom hunt despite still rejecting the mushroom Akko found for being already in the Manbavaran's collection. It is when Amanda notices wyvern-like creatures flying overhead with Luna Nova's very own Sorcerer's Stone in their clutches.

Chapter 6

Neither Constanze nor the rest of Akko's friends agree with Akko's idea of chasing wyvern-like creatures to get their academy's Sorcerer's Stone back. However, Lotte rightfully points out that the lack of Stone to provide magic energy for everyone at the academy won't bode well for faeires, leaving them no better options at hand.

As they fly their way toward the dragons' lair (their brooms are linked to Constanze's mechanized one), which certainly at Rastavan Ruins, the group discuss about their enemies' motives. Sucy makes their conversation less pleasant by explaining how dragons replenish their magic by sucking in witches' blood, though Lotte dismisses such idea since they supposedly had since abandoned such practice. When Lotte proposes that the dragon they're about to face is supposedly a brutal one who was last seen hundred years back, Akko immediately (and angrily) assumes the creature opted to make due with Luna Nova's Sorcerer's Stone. Just then, Amanda notices magic energy reserves in their brooms recharging itself just as they finally get a look at Rastavan Ruins.

Closing in for the ruins, the group is soon ambushed by the same dragon horde who stole the Sorcerer's Stone, and knowing that the fight is inevitable, Amanda implores everyone to split into groups to fight back. A dogfight ensues with Constanze opening fire on the dragons with her Stanbot's shotgun configuration while Amanda conjures a large flower popping out of one of the chasing beasts' snout, causing it to crash along with two of its packmates and allowing the German mechanic to finish them off. Sucy spreads out explosive powder, which covers the air behind her before igniting it with magic, creating a trail of explosions that incinerates unfortunate monsters caught within its path. Checking on downed dragons, Akko is shocked upon discovering their true robotic nature but unable to dwell on it for long nor relay what she found to the others as the remaining beasts have overpowered and grabbed Lotte and Sucy away, along with Constanze and Jasminka.

Constanze, Lotte, Sucy, and Jasminka are subsequently locked within a cage at Fafnir's darkened kitchen, though neither Akko nor Amanda who find them shortly afterward aware with said room's actual nature and assume it to be a torture chamber. Amanda barely has a moment to come up with a plan when Akko recklessly swings towards the dragon with a nearby chain, much to her chagrin. The dragon catches Akko on ease before unexpectedly (and indignantly) yells at her face for assuming him intending to eat her. To their further confusion, in addition of his anthropomorphic mannerisms that defy rumors circulating around him (able to talk, wearing bathrobe and slippers, and other things), Fafnir inquires them of the money Luna Nova owed him under the assumption of Holbrooke sent them on her behalf.

Just then, Headmistress Holbrooke herself arrives with Lukić and Badcock bringing some old artifacts which he immediately rejected. When Akko demands why he took Luna Nova's Sorcerer's Stone from start, Fafnir explains that he did so because the academy owed him a lot of money in return of his part in its construction as written in their contract long ago, much to the Japanese witch-in-training and co.'s disbelief. He further criticizes Luna Nova's staffs for focusing on magic above all else that they failed to adapt in changing times, which contrasted of his own success in online investments.

Fortunately for everyone, Diana and Finnelan, who have properly deciphered the contract between Luna Nova and Fafnir, show up tp reveal the dragon's treachery; as it turns out, Fafnir had exploited Luna Nova professors' underestimation on the importance of learning Dragonese in order to abuse the contract by having them paying more than they owed. With that, everyone finally able to reclaim their Sorcerer's Stone back.

For recklessly interfered the then-solved affair between Luna Nova and Fafnir, Akko, Lotte, Sucy, Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka had to work on the laundry as their detention.

Chapter 11

Constanze is shown preparing for the screening of her new movie, "Sharks vs. Cowboys", when Amanda expresses her disappointment over Akko's newfound resolve to focus on her study thus cannot join them. She is later excused herself to her workshop thus misses her friends' fiasco from Amanda's stolen answer sheet.

Chapter 11.5

Upon learning that cafeteria features a limited edition dessert which supposedly baked by a famed patissier from the capital, Constanze wastes no time to get hers and compete with her friends, going so far riding a custom-made cart which leaves the others wondering whether it is allowed. Unfortunately, because of their rowdy competition, they receive an earful from Finnelan for it.

Chapter 12

Constanze and Sucy is shown playing a game before the bed time.

When chaos breaks out because of Jasminka's hunger faery takes over and subsequently begins to consume everyone on sight, Constanze provides Lotte and Sucy a cover fire with her Stanbot's magic gun configuration as they cast Metamorphosis Magic in an attempt to turn it into something more harmless as per Akko's suggestion. But the faery is too fast and. But she can only do so much due to her magic reserved got spent from using it to play witn Sucy prior also, allowing the faery to retaliate by devouring Lotte and Sucy at once. Before it eats Constanze next, Akko steps in and tries to reach out for Jasminka to no avail, though pickle plums in her pocket thankfully prevents Jasminka's hunger faery from eating her and forces it to reguritate Lotte and Sucy at the same time, much to the German mechanic's disgust. It is when the disoriented yet otherwise unharmed Lotte reveals to Akko that salt affected faeries as much as Ley Lines, prompting Akko to lunge at the maw of Jasminka's hunger faery to force-feed it with her remaining pickled pums, forcing it to vomit up the rest of everyone that it ate and enter dormancy, restoring Jasminka back to normal.

Chapter 13

Constanze is fixing her fellow students' electronic appliances at her maintenance studio when Akko stumbles upon it by chance, momentarily alarming her. Relieved that it's just the Jaoanese witch-in-training, she has one of her Stanbots to guide Akko towards Luna Nova's kitchen before continuing her work, unaware that the latter unwisely stole a basket of snacks meant to be reward for her secret acquaintances there.

On the next day, Constanze receives complains from her clients who claimed their electronics' problems only worsened. When Akko enters the scene, Constanze hints Akko as possible suspect through her Stanbot since she barged into her maintenance studio last night. Denying such accusation, Akko loudly rallies Constanze to search the studio for more likely culprit, though a teacher's arrival forces them to have to wait after the class.

Akko and Constanze begins the investigation by accessing maintenance studio's security footage via. one of Constanze's Stanbot. The German mechanic calms Akko down when the latter becomes impatient because of a momentary glitch in the video feed. Just then, Akko notices a fast movement on the display, hinting the saboteur they are looking for is a small creature infesting the chamber.

Now that they know what they up against, Constanze and Akko enlist Lotte and Sucy's aid in catching the mystery saboteur. Akko informs the two that she had Amanda and Jasminka guarding their dorm room in case of the culprit trespassing it too only to be reminded by Constanze through her stanbot that the Japanese witch-in-training is still in the list of likely suspect. But the saboteur is more cunning than they assumed and even not alone. When Constanze and Akko search the darkened maintenance studio, one of them harasses Lotte so the other swiftly disarms Sucy of her wand. Fast movements later, the same saboteur dismantles Constanze's stanbot in its gun mode before its cohorts gang up on her only to be forced to abrupt retreat when Akko lunges into their path. Despite minor bruises from the full brunt of their assault, Akko, after certain that the German mechanic is out of harm's way, manages to catch one of unlucky saboteurs; a small impish creature with wrench-like tail.

It is when Constanze's association with the creatures, which Lotte finally identifies as Wisdom Fairies becomes known to Constanze's friends. What's more, the whole fiasco is revealed to be due to someone stole the food Constanze prepared as the reward for helping them — the same food Akko mistook as Jasminka's in the previous night. Putting pieces together, Constanze turns against Akko who revealed to be guilty all along.

Chapter 15

Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka stumble upon Akko as she faces another setback in her broom flight training. Putting aside their inability to provide some encouragement for the Japanese witch-in-training, they inform her about the gathering at the courtyard. There, they are introduced by Nelson to the rival school's headmistress and her representatives. An uproar ensues among Luna Nova students present when Nelson reluctantly reveals Diana's predicament, at which Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka step in on her stead. Still, Luna Nova's representatives lack one more participant who serves as her team's anchor in the upcoming interschool broom race. To Akko and Nelson's shock, the rival school's headmistress takes the matters with her own hands; she elects the Japanese witch-in-training to be Luna Nova's anchor through her accomplishment in riding Shooting Star a while prior.

Chapter 16

Alongside Akko, Amanda, Constanze, and Jasminka participate in the interschool broom race. Whereas Akko serves as her team's anchor, Jasminka serves as the first flyer, Constanze the second flyer, and Amanda the third flyer.

When it's finally her turn, Constanze and Aul compete for Amanda and Chilby's positions. The two are even until the latter summons a group of faeries to dismantke the former's mechanized broom because she hates the noise it makes. But when it seems things go south for Constanze, she improvises by having her wisdom fairy companions repurposed parts of her destroyed broom into a grappling hook to land beside Amanda.

Chapter 17

Constanze joins her friends in the finish line and congratulates Akko's success in reaching the finish line while unable to help but amused by her animal form of choice as the Japanese witch-in-training did.

Little Witch Academia: The Nonsensical Witch and the Country of Fairies

Constanze is among students who partake the field trip to Doras Hill, though the event doesn't intrigue her much as she focuses on tinkering her latest project despite Finnelan's protests.

Later on, she, Amanda, and Jasminka notice Akko, Lotte, and Sucy entering the Country of Fairies through a secret passage accessible by circling Doras Hill nine times. But because green team do so counterclockwise, they wind up arrive in Coin-Sith's territory and captured as the result. Fortunately, Akko, Lotte, and Sucy show up with Feoras on their side to negotiate their release despite the tension between Coin-Sith and Cat-Sith horde doesn't make things easy for everyone either. To help Feoras and Alan determine the would-be heir of Fairy King of Doras Hill for the current Sifla's sake, the young witches decide to lend them a hand in the trial ahead.

The group begins the trial by consuming a special concoction that has been prepared beforehand on Doras Stone's stone table, said to be handed down from the first fairy king and made of leaves of Doras Hill's thirteen sacred trees boiled in holy water. Under its psychoactive effects, they experience a vision which show a glimpse of original kings of Coin-Sith and Cat-Sith's past with original Sifla, though Akko's apparently much clearer than the others. Recovering from the vision, Amanda notices the nearby stone tablet's passage engraved in Luna Alphabet ("The one who revives the sacred trees and makes stars fall from the heavens shall be ruler of the fairies.") have revealed themselves. As Feoras pointed out after Amanda fails to magically summon a localized downfall of shooting stars via. Shooting Star Spell, reviving the sacred trees is their first priority. Around this time, Constanze and the others learn that Feoras and Alan's friendship with each other and the current Sifla has something to do with them being current heirs of Sifla title and thrones of Coin-Sith and Cat-Sith's lands.

They begin to carry out their part in reviving the sacred trees. When it's the turn of fourth and fifth trees (ash and alder), Constanze and Amanda revive them with a homemade water cannon and Songbird Summoning Spell respectively.

When it's the turn of eleventh sacred tree, an ivy that grew about a big stone marker around the same height as the others, something goes terribly wrong; upon given the opportunity to meet the original Sifla, Feoras and Alan made their resentments and denial over the truth behind Fairy King their people forgotten, if not outright denied in their pride, known to the ancient witch, much to her disappointment that she cursed them into feral kaijus but deliberately let Akko watch so the Japanese witch-in-training understand how much they lost their way and that it's up to her and the current Sifla to save their souls. As this happens, young witches find themselves returned to the entrance while transformed Feoras and Alan bring their fight there. It takes combined efforts of Akko, Lotte, Sucy, Sifla, and reluctant Diana to restore both kings of Coin-Sith and Cat-Sith to normal.

In the aftermath of the chaos, Constanze joins the others in having a picnic at Doras Hill since everyone needs well-deserved rest and recuperation from taxing effort in saving Feoras and Alan from themselves.
