Divine Cats, also errondously referred as Spooky Chimeras, are cat-like mummies featured as enemies in Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.
Description[]
True to their namesake, Divine Cats are giant dark grey cat mummies dressed with ornate pharaoh outfit with their forearms, paws, and forelegs exposed, evoking image of mythological Sphinxs. Their eyes are cyan with purple mascara, and possess a pair of small bird-like wings.
While aggressive and hostile like other monsters encountered by Akko and co., Divine Cats are stated to be intelligent. According to Strange Notebook, Sphinx Cats would turn anyone who cannot solve their difficult riddles into mummies, but would be flustered should their victims asked the same riddle back.
Powers and Abilities[]
Befitting to their size, Divine Cats possess considerable brute force and speed to the boot. In addition of damaging claw attacks and ability to regenerate, they can perform disorienting sonic scream which can incapacitate their foes. They also capable to perform magic to some degree, imbuing their sonic screams with spells to induce negative buffs on the target(s) and stated to be able to turn their victims into mummies. Thanks to their wings, they are capable for limited flight.
Trivia[]
- Despite referred as Spooky Chimera by Strange Notebook, these undead creatures lacked chimeric traits save for a pair of bird-like wings. That, coupled with their Egyptian mummies-like characteristics, implied that this more likely result of translation error of the game.
