Thomas (トーマス Tōmasu) is a character in Little Witch Academia, only introduced in The Enchanted Parade. He lives in Blytonbury, the neighboring town to Luna Nova Academy.
Appearance[]
Thomas is a light-skinned child of average height, with disheveled golden-blond hair and green eyes. He is dresses in a blue t-shirt, a puce jacket, and gray pants.
Personality[]
He is a rude and hateful child who likes to annoy others. He maintained a tendency to look down on witches, considering them somewhat outdated and absurd. However, he seems to have changed his mind after having his life saved during the parade, especially when witnessing Diana in action.
Plot[]
The Enchanted Parade[]
Thomas appears when Akko, Amanda, Constance and Jasminka were shopping at Blytonbury. He and his gang mock them for being witches, throwing them tomatoes and unleashing a fight between both groups in which the girls are in difficulties because of their limited reserves of magic outside the school.
During the parade, Thomas and his group steal the Shiny Rod that Akko and the others were using as a source of magic. However, by taking it near the Sealing Stones, Thomas causes its magic to awaken the Titan that was sealed there which immediately captures him. While Ursula creates an atmosphere of show, Akko manages to rescue Thomas from the claws of the Titan, being later saved of its fall by Diana and aid in the recovery of the Shiny Rod. After watching as Akko, Lotte and Sucy defeat the Titan, his gang have another friendly war against Akko and her friends.

His gang[]
It is shown that Thomas gets along with members of his gang over their shared prejudice towards witches and they in turn, respected him. After Akko and co. saved their leader from Titan whom Thomas indirectly awakened while impressively making it all seemingly part of a show to avoid panic, they decide to respect Thomas' unexpected savior as much as him.
Luna Nova Witches[]
Thomas initially had an antagonistic relationship towards the witch students of Luna Nova as shown through his and his friends' bullying on Akko, Amanda, Constanze and Jasminka. The dynamic between them changed to better after the events of the parade during which Akko and (later) Diana, go on their way to save him from the awakened Titan's clutches before they and the others puts the beast back to sleep all while maintaining the atmosphere of the show in the town to prevent panic. From there, Thomas and co. developed a respect towards Akko and her friends before engaging in a friendly war as part of the show's encore.
The only witch student he never antagonize is Diana whom saved him from the falling after being attacked by the Titan, unable to help but impressed by her skills with her broom and even develops a crush on her.

Etymology[]
- "Thomas" is a masculine given name. It is based on the Biblical Greek Θωμᾶς, which is itself a transcription of the Aramaic תאומא (Taumā "twin"), the Hebrew cognate being תאום (tə'ōm).[1]
Trivia[]
- Thomas shares the same English dub voice actor as the Mayor of Blytonbury, as well as Andrew Hanbridge in the anime show.
