Treant Mimics are a species of large Treant-like magical insects featured in Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.
Description[]
Treant Mimics are a species of giant insect that evolved to imitate treants. Though they greatly resembles creatures in question in both appearance and physiology that other treants cannot tell the differences, a few traits of these creatures betray their insectoid nature: First of all, treant mimics have a pair red fly-like eyes instead of normal eyes. Then, they have a pair of insectoid wings on their back as well as six pairs of insectoid legs instead of treants' root-like legs. Though they appeared to have a pair of arms akin to regular treants', those arms are in fact, insectoid mandibles evolved to resemble such. While they typically shown having gray body, yellow treant mimics also encountered as well, at which the said subspecies of the creature's insectoid nature more evident.

Other than aggressive behavior, the mentality of treant mimics even resemble that of regular treants through their preference to shuffle on the ground like regular treants would, albeit with much humorous gait.
Powers and Abilities[]
Treant Mimics are capable of attacking with use of their clawed mandibles. While the presence of the wings suggested that they can fly, those wings are mostly used for display.
