Lizardmen

Lizardmen are a race of artificially developed humanoid lizards featured in Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time.

Description[]

This race of human-sized, anthropomorphic super reptiles comes in 3 different reptilian breeds. Like humans, they have five digits ending in short claws including an opposable thumb at the end of slightly elongated arms. They also have somewhat large snout with jagged mouth full of sharp teeth. While hostile and barbaric like other monsters encountered in the game (Mighty Lizard breed even stated to jump into battles out of obsession to remembering how and when each of their scars was inflicted), Lizardmen possess human-level intelligence, evident from their ability to both craft and use weapon and armor.

The following is the list of encountered lizardmen breeds:

Normal Breed[]

“	These magically-enhanced super reptiles are very skilled in battle. They are bipedal humanoids trained in armed combat, although some prefer an old-fashioned fist fight to using weapons.	”

Normal breed sports moss green body with yellowish underbelly. They also sport glowing white eye and armed with a trident. Least formidable than the rest of the breeds, but still powerful.

Lizard Knight Breed[]

“	A warrior with a brawny body and the brains to wear armor for extra protection. It longs for a return of the time when reptiles ruled the world, and fights on for its people, never afraid to lay down its life for this cause.	”

Lizard Knight breed possesses cyan body with bluish white underbelly as well as sports fin-like ears, suggesting the ability to adapt in water environment. In contrast to other breeds, they have yellow eyes. This is the only breed that wearing armor in addition of standard trident, practically making them more powerful than normal breed.

Mighty Lizard Breed[]

Unlike other breeds, Mighty Lizard breed sports black sharp scutes across their spine as well as barb-like blades on their forearms. They also have red body with yellowish underbelly and white eyes like normal breeds. This breed also the toughest and most powerful, evident from ferocity through battle experiences and presence of battle scars around its body.

Powers and Abilities[]

In addition of human-level intelligence which enable them to use and craft weapons and armor as well as organizing attacks, Lizardmen are slightly more powerful and durable than humans. They also possess the ability to breathe fire as additional means of offense. Strange Notebook revealed that their anthropomorphic physiology and abilities are not natural; they are created through magical enhancements on regular lizards into powerful soldiers possibly conducted by witches or wizards in the past which includes imbuing essence (or specifically DNA) of dragons into their genetics, something which hinted through lizardmen's ability to breathe fire as well as vaguely draconic traits, leading them being classified as dragons by the Strange Notebook.
