Megumi Han (潘 めぐみ Han Megumi?) is a Japanese actress and voice actress employed by Atomic Monkey. She is the daughter of the voice actress Keiko Han.

She voices Atsuko Kagari in Little Witch Academia.

In her admission during Anime Expo 2013, Megumi Han became a voice actress upon finding her calling after seeing 1999 TV Series adaptation of Hunter X Hunter as opposed of following her mother's footsteps. She enjoys becoming a voice actress as it provides her more freedom to portray characters regardless of their age, gender, and whether they're human.[1]

Additionally, according to her statements pertaining how she became involved with the franchise, she became intrigued by Akko, one of protagonists of one of Anime Mirai's short Little Witch Academia and was subsequently offered the role after her audition. Her capacity in it impressed even Masahiko Ōtsuka, who noted how she played her role very well, which helped by how her idolization toward her mother Keiko Han not unlike Akko with Shiny Chariot.[2] She also cosplayed as Akko for the premiere screening of first short of Little Witch Academia in Japan.[1]

  • Megumi Han admitted that she enjoys portraying boys sometimes, though she able to portray girls just fine. Between tomboyish girls or emotional "girly-girly" girls however, she finds the former easier to work on. She also looked forward to play non-human characters[1], which she finally did where among them being Pega from Ultraman Geed.
  • Although she looked up at her mother Keiko Han, Megumi Han nonetheless admitted that it took them working in the same industry for a while she finally understands the significance of her works due to their previous differences.[1]
  • When it comes about dubbing foreign works such as My Little Pony franchise, Megumi Han admitted that translating dialogues from English to Japanese to be challenging because English words had several words in a short period compared to Japanese.[1]
  • The following are information shared during an interview with Dengeki Online on June 25, 2017 before the airing of the final episode:[3]
    • Megumi Han describes Akko as a pure and cheerful girl who always acts on her impulses, gives her all in everything she does, and is ultimately made more relatable thanks to the TV Series showcasing more sides of her.
    • Megumi Han's favorite episode is "Intelligence and Sensibility", which showcased improvement in Akko and Diana's dynamics.[4] However, with her finding so many remarkable episodes of Little Witch Academia anime TV Series, she admitted that her actual favorite episode changed everyday with "Sky War Stanship" happened to be among ones she found standing out the most in addition of that one.
    • As confirmed by Megumi Han and Fumiko Orikasa, the recording session took place prior to the completion of the animation hence they had to make due with placeholders. Because of that, their impression on the finalized product was different compared to during the former. Nevertheless, Megumi Han noted "A believing heart is your magic" line as uttered by Shiny Chariot, which carried over from original shorts, reminded her of the first time she involved in the franchise. Fumiko Orikasa even noted how the show's tone has a different feel for different episodes (initial episodes being straightforward life in magic school with subsequent ones in different settings. Megumi Han agreed with such statement, citing comedic episodes being followed by serious, tear-jerking ones that contained more drama by contrast, and praising the flow from "Sleeping Sucy" to "Blytonbury's Undead Travelogue" as well as episodes focusing on Lotte and Sucy ("Night Fall" and aforementioned "Sleeping Sucy"). Michiyo Murase, Sucy's voice actress, recalled how it was confirmed Sucy indeed annoyed by Akko, with Megumi Han and Fumiko Orikasa added that Akko and Sucy's friendship being not easily broken despite arguing a lot and their best friend Lotte being the one who break up their argument. Finally, Megumi Han acknowledged how much Akko's characterization fleshed out to make her relatable just as Fumiko Orikasa and Michiyo Murase acknowledging Lotte and Sucy's character development thanks to Akko entering their lives.
    • Megumi Han focused on feeling and acting as thinking too much would break the character.
    • While consistently following the script, there were instances of her, Fumiko Orikasa, and Michiyo Murase ad-libbed their lines during the scenes where there were a lot of noise in the background.
    • Megumi Han was intrigued by Jasminka, lamenting the lack of episode focusing on her thus left to guess whether her family were similar to her. She also looked forward to see more of Constanze's family.
    • Megumi Han's golden era of playing videogames was during the Super Famicom era, finding more modern consoles challenging as she had to move and control the camera at the same time. If anything, she would enjoy Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time as much as those of Super Famicom due to it being side-scrolling.
