History[]
Little Witch Academia (Keisuke Satō Manga)[]
Chapter 15[]
Miraj is one of four dryads who pose as a witch and representative from a rival school which challenges Luna Nova in an interschool brook competition. They are joined by Woodward who assumes the disguise of serene-looking headmistress of the same school as the latter introduces themselves to everyone at the Luna Nova's courtyard.
Chapter 16[]
Miraj becomes acquainted with Akko as they wait for their turn, in which she presents herself as a fellow Shiny Chariot fan. Surprised upon learning that circumstances force Akko to participate in the interschool broom race, Miraj offers to teach Akko how to fly in exchange of Shiny Rod. But Akko refuses as she already made up her mind to return it to her idol someday and that it will bring her to the latter. Irritated, Miraj intimidates Akko that she falls from the ledge, allowing her to callously snatch the Shiny Rod away just as Diana shows up in time to save its owner.
Chapter 17[]
As Chilby passed her baton to her, Miraj is nonchalant upon seeing Diana shows up in time to save Akko and subsequently berating the rival anchor for stealing Shiny Rod and endangering the Japanese witch-in-training in process. Rather than returning the staff to Akko, she challenges both her and Diana to take Shiny Rod back from her by force.
Miraj attempts to use the Shiny Rod on Diana and Akko when the Cavendish proves herself no pushover in moving past Slalom Ruins even while carrying the Japanese witch-in-training at the same time, but the Rod is unresponsive in her grasp. Disappointed, she tosses Shiny Rod aside leading to Akko almost plummeting to the ground far below again in retrieving it. Seeing Diana saving Akko's life again, Miraj mocks the Cavendish for saving her seemingly useless fellow student. Diana argues that Akko is far from useless because of her great determination to overcome her odds more than Miraj could possibly imagine, leaving the Japanese witch-in training moved.
As if unable to acknowledge Diana's statements, Miraj responds by magically manipulating the trees below them to create a complicated maze around Akko and Diana as well as conjuring enchanted leaves which fly orbiting the Cavendish's head to blind her. This prompts Diana to trust Akko in guiding her through the altered terrain in time to see Miraj about to reach the finish line. This time however, Miraj learns how right Diana is in hard way when, Akko and Diana unexpectedly improvise by using Shiny Rod's bow form with which the Japanese witch-in-training launches herself towards the finish line while on Diana's broom and assumes her winged elephant form for the first time for a good measure, effectively winning the race and catching her off-guard.
After the interschool broom race, Miraj, alongside her fellow dryads, unveil their true form as they teleported to parts unknown upon being dismissed by Woodward, having completed their task in testing Akko's resolve for trials ahead.
Relationships[]
Woodward[]
While not much is known about their relationship, it seems Woodward trusts her enough to help her testing Akko's resolve for her quest for remaining Seven Words of Arcturus hence why the ancient witch recruited her to begin with.
