Monica is a witch and one of Luna Nova students meant to appear in Little Witch Academia.
Physical Appearance[]
As depicted in promotional artwork of the first short and concept arts, Monica is a witch of average height with red spiky hair and round eyes. When flying riding her mechanized broom, she wears a flight google.
Personality[]
Monica is intended to be an eccentric character whose personality described as mad scientist-esque in addition of being upbeat as indicated by her concept design.
Abilities and Equipment[]
Monica displayed amazing mechanical skills, able to manufacture high-tech electronic devices that combines magic and mechanics such as her trademark broom. In addition of this, she may very well remarkably skilful in magic.

Etymology[]
The meaning of Monica is unknown, though it most likely of Berber or Phoenician origin. In the 4th century this name was borne by a North African saint, the mother of Saint Augustine of Hippo, whom she converted to Christianity. Since the Middle Ages it has been associated with Latin moneo "advisor" and Greek monos "one". [1]
Trivia[]
- As a young witch who excels in combining magic and mechanics to create impressive magic-mechanical gadgets, Monica is the basis to Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger's character.
- In stark contrast of silent and grumpy Constanze, however, Monica appears to be rather upbeat with mad scientist-esque attitude to the boot. Her energetic side suggested that Wangari was partly inspired by her also.
- As revealed in 4chan AMA which took place in 2017, Yoshinari developed both Monica and Constanze's character concepts out of his idea revolving a witch with gadgets as proposed by Tatsuru Tatemoto, though only the latter that eventually used in the end.[2]
