Shuhei Handa (半田 修平 Handa Shūhei) is a Japanese director and animator.
He entered the anime industry as an animator for Gainax and later moved to Studio Trigger as a part of Anime Mirai 2013, a government funded project to support the training of young animators. Handa claimed the post of Chief Animation Director at Studio Trigher on Space Patrol Luluco and worked on TV Series adaptation of Little Witch Academia as the Main Character Designer. Aside from TRIGGER's work, he has also participated as Director for Natsume's One Punch Man.

- According to Shuhei Handa in an interview during the talkshow that took place after the screening of episode 22 to 25 in TOHO Cinemas in Shinjuku, Tokyo, he found Constanze's characterization to be the most difficult to write, though he also felt Akko should be held with such distinction. Conversely, he found Amanda to be one of the easiest characters to write.[1][2]
- He also admits Amanda being easy to draw just as Akko being amusing to draw as expected from her comical expressions, though he had some difficulties with Constanze by contrast.
- Additionally, Shūhei Handa shared his experiences pertaining the challenges he faced in drawing Andrew. He emphasized the difficulty of maintaining small highlights in Andrew's eyes and ensuring his consistent handsomeness, all while allowing for subtle changes in his expression as his character developed throughout the series.
- Handa, along with Yoshinari and Tsutsumi shared that whether there will be new content of the franchise was relative to fans' support and background development sales.[3]
